Banks is a dice game using three dice. The question is whether this game is fair. That is to say that the probabilities of winning or loosing are equal. In this simulation the game is played with six players.

The rules of the game are shown if you play step by step.

Rules of the game.

- Each player chooses a field

- Field number equal to the score on a die:        + 1 point

- Field number not equal to the score on any die:        – 1 point

- Field number equal to the score on two dice:        + 2 points

- Field number equals to the score on three dice:        + 3 points

The profit and losses are recorded for each player, for each game as well as the total of all the games.

Settings and buttons

You have to choose between two options. Either each player always plays on his/her own field number (A-1, B-2, etc.), or the players take random positions. If you change from fixed positions back to random positions, the positions of the players change.

Tempo bar

With the tempo bar you can change the speed of the simulation before and during the simulation.

With Step you can track the experiment step by step.

Fast is designed to enable you to create lots of data.
